Korean New Year 2011


2011 Year of the Rabbit....

Korean New Year is the most important festival in Korea. It is a family oriented holiday. Korean New Year is also commonly known as Seollal. Korea follows a lunar calendar and for this reason, the dates of Korean New Year vary every year. Korean New Year 2011 will be on February 3. Korean New Year 2010 was celebrated on February 14, Seollal 2011 will be observed on the first day of the lunar calendar. The New Year celebrations in Korea last for three days and the three days are declared as public holiday.

Seollal or Korean New Year 2011 will fall on the 2nd New Moon after winter cosmic time. If you follow the traditional, it is noticed that Korean New Year shares the same day of new Year in China, Vietnam, Mongol, and Tibet. As Chinese New Year, Korean New Year is also called Lunar New Year.

Cricket World Cup- 2011

The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup will be the tenth Cricket World Cup and will be hosted by : India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
The World Cup will use cricket's One Day International format, with fourteen national cricket teams.
The World Cup will take place between February and early April 2011.
The first match to be played on 19 February 2011 with co-hosts India and Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.
The opening ceremony will be held on 17 February 2011, two days before the start of the tournament.
The final of the world cup would take place on 2 April 2011 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai

Changwon

Changwon is in sutheren part of south korea..which is around 360 kms from my place.
I have been there on a business trip from my office..
It took 4 hours from seongnam to Changwon by bus..
Busan is very near from changwon there around 50 Kms..
I stayed 2 days over there..



Changwon city is good and the place where I stayed is most happening place with
countless bars, karaoke rooms and Korean nightclubs Hotels,resturants..

Restaurant which are almost on the same line...



Changwon does not have a subway system, however, the city is the planned city in
the country and bus routes, trains and taxis are very efficient.

I visited Bombay Indian restaurent with my Korean Collegue..The Food is delicious
and price is also ok..
The interiors and environment of Bombay restaurant is good..
